That seed of thought has resulted in this workshop I will be facilitating with Shakti in August: Beyond Romantic Love.

These are some things I've noticed suggesting the struggle we face:

• There is large social pressure to be in an apparently successful, long term relationship. Some feel the weight of failure when not in such a relationship or when they end.

• Some feel that 'good' relationships only happen to other people - with this there is a sense of great loss and loneliness.
• Relationships that start with never-ending love can end with deep bitterness, resentment, hatred and lots of anger.
• Expectations of romance can be quickly replaced with the mundane, the tedious and pure hard work.

The Beyond Romantic Love workshop looks towards what is possible in the happy-ever-after. It facilitates a process of being present with our perceptions of reality in a way that positively transforms our ideas into a genuine connection with experience. Powerful, practical tools will be provided to strengthen and clarify the heart.

Beyond romantic love there is the heart that cannot be broken, that opens freely and truly to the giving and receiving of a deep and lasting love.
