If you inhabit the Western
world then clothes are an essential necessity, first appearances make the
lasting impressions on those we meet. What would you think if you met a person,
in creased, badly fitting clothes? You would think that they were sloppy and
lazy and took no pride in themselves. It is very unfortunate, but a fact of
life that we judge others on the clothes they wear. You want your clothes to
project a positive image about the person you are.
There are people who believe
that in order to dress well, you have to spend a small fortune on designer clothing, this however is
not the case, you can get great deals on non-brand quality clothing that fits
you well and flatters your figure. Rather than buying for name or logo, you
should buy for fit and durability. Over the last few years it has become
commonplace for designer clothes to be bought by the general population, from
jackets, dresses, T shirts and underwear, there is something that most people
can afford. Whatever your sizes there are designer clothes that will make you
look good and feel confident.
Designer clothes are the
epitome of fashion, given the opportunity the majority of us would opt for
designer wear, however the majority of household budgets won't stretch to such
extravagance. They have an air of exclusivity about them, yes they are created
from superior fabrics and with excellent craftsmanship which in a way makes
them value for money, but with fashions changing like the wind you probably
wouldn't get the wear out of it to justify the price tag. Saying that, the most
savvy of shoppers can source designer clothes at high street prices if they
know where to buy.
Society today relies on
fashion as a form of self expression, this is why designer wear has become so
popular over the last few years, and wearing designer clobber is all the rage.
This is why counterfeit goods are so popular especially for those with a
limited budget, consumers want to look the part even if they cannot afford to,
so some will opt to intentionally by fakes in an attempt to look good. Although
most people can spot imitations a mile off, people buy them hoping it will give
them the style and status of genuine designer wear.
The majority of people that
wear designer clothing do so to make a fashion statement, almost everybody
likes to look their best, and designer wear makes you look good and flaunts the
fact that you can afford to wear a designer label. It makes you stand out from
the crowd, and paying that little bit extra to impress the masses can be worth
it for some people. If the chosen item/s is going to be worn regularly, then
the cost can be justified, due to the fact that designer clothes are made to
the highest standard using the very best fabrics and are produced with care and
attention to detail. The higher standard is very noticeable when placed next to
the majority of cheaper non brand clothing, designer clothing is all about
quality, they last longer making them better value for money than their cheaper
counterparts in the long run.
Personally I tend to mix my
wardrobe, I have a few designer garments but the majority is good quality no
name brand clothing, I then mix the items together to create a more expensive
look. I would say that designer clothing is better than no name brand clothing,
because of the quality and workmanship of the garments, but like the majority
of women I cannot afford a complete designer wardrobe, by buying and mixing top
end designer and good quality high street clothing it is possible to achieve
the look you want without breaking the bank.
