Getting a six pack is simple. No really, it is. It does require a lot of time, effort and patience but if you know what you’re doing the actual steps are very straightforward. The problem arises when people put lots of effort into the wrong techniques, and then get disheartened when they don’t get the abs their effort deserves. So here are the three ultimate steps that can’t fail to give you a six pack.

1. Build muscle
This is the one people usually do without realising there are two other required steps. Do the correct ab building exercises such as sit-ups, crunches, v-ups etc. It’s vitally important that you know how to do these ab exercises properly otherwise they will be a waste of time. If you don’t know how to do them then make sure you find out quick! Doing 100 crunches the wrong way is not going to build your ab muscles at all and could even damage you.

2. Reduce calorie intake
If you’re eating too many calories you’ll never get a six pack. Ever. You need to reduce your calorie intake by cutting out junk food and spreading your meals throughout the day in small servings whenever possible. This keeps your body’s metabolism running quickly and also stops you form overeating.

3. Increase aerobic exercise
While decreasing your calorie intake you need to start exercising to burn off some more. This will help you reduce your body’s fat content which is extremely important if you want to get a visible six pack, which of course you do.
